Jesus is our Advocate

“Simon, Simon, behold.  Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail.  And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”   Luke 22:31-32

 

The Sunday sermon, I heard reminded of me of two very important things:  Jesus prays for us and the purpose of prayer is not just to fulfill our needs, but to align ourselves to what God’s will is for us.  Yet, prayer is usually the last thing I do.  Society considers this weak or bothersome, if we ask for help.  While there is some greatness to independence and self-sufficiency, I just can’t do it alone....   Continue Reading

The (Dis)Connected World
